The Museum oh Human Evolution and the Atapuerca site obtain the 2016 certificate of excellence from travel portal Tripadvisor

This prestigious recognition is the result of good reviews by travellers. Both the Museum and the site have obtained a score of 4.5 out of 5. Both destinations had already been recognised by this award in previous years

This year again, the Museum of Human Evolution (MEH) and the Sierra Archaeological Site have received the '2016 Certificate of Excellence: Winner’. This award is only for those institutions or establishments that consistently receive excellent reviews published at TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel website. Both the Museum and the Site, dependent from the Junta of Castile and León, have earned this recognition with an overall score of 4.5 out of 5. Apart from that, the Site stands out as the most popular guided tour in Burgos by travellers.

 

This prestigious Certificate of Excellence recognises the role of the tourist destinations that have earned good reviews regularly from TripAdvisor’s travellers, who have greatly appreciated the visits to both the Museum of Human Evolution and the Site. A team of 16 people currently works at the Museum. They all are graduates with extensive experience in the field of Teaching in Museums.

 

As regards the Atapuerca Site, the management of visits entrusted by the Atapuerca System to the Atapuerca Foundation has also been highly valued by this tourism portal. Such visits are conducted by 14 highly qualified guides hired by the Atapuerca Foundation. They guide the tour visitors not only in Spanish but also in English, German, French or Portuguese.
