En colaboración con la Asociación Pro Salud Mental de Burgos (PROSAME FEAFES) el MEH albergará una selección de 50 obras pictóricas de miembros de dicha asociación. Bajo la premisa de estimular la creatividad y la integración de las personas con enfermedades mentales, esta muestra pretende dar a conocer la importancia de la creación artística como herramienta de integración y desarrollo personal. The aim of this course is to present the Atapuerca discoveries and their impact in human evolutionary studies by the hand of a group of researches directly involved in the research project. Technological advances in recent decades have allowed us to enlarge on our research objetives, address issues hitherto impossible and dramatically improve our results and knowledge of Quaternary ecosystems and human evolution during this period. Not only the fossil record is presented, but we attempt to present the Atapuerca hominines in the context of behavioral and ecological keys to give us a global and comprehensive view of these “archaic” humans and by extension, of our place in nature. The course is given by specialist in paleontology and paleoanthropology of the Atapuerca Research Project that works at the Laboratory of Human Evolution (www.ubu.es/leh) at the University of Burgos and the Museun of Human Evolution of Burgos. Consist in lectures and discussion sessions with the professors, practices in the Museum of Human Evolution and the Archaeological theme park, and visit to the sites.
